A cautious sentiment spread in lead market

SHANGHAI, Dec 6 (SHMET) – Spot traders were active in sales on December 6. Market trades were lackluster as downstream producers made a limited purchase due to a high price.

Both LME and SHFE lead fell, with a cautious sentiment in the market. Lead trades were low due to a weaker demand from battery enterprises and a low purchase.

Mainstream offers in Shanghai spot lead market were at 18,620-18,920 yuan/mt on December 6, down 35 yuan/mt from the previous trading day, which had a discount of 300-0 yuan/mt compared with 1812 contract. Jinsha brand lead ingots were offered flat against 1812 contract in Shanghai.

Nanfang brand lead ingots were offered at a discount of around 50 yuan/mt against 1812 contract.
